With a short video, merely 16 seconds long, Sony have teased what will no doubt be one of the biggest games of the coming year. The mysterious video, which more than likely sets the scene for God of War: Ascension, promises more detail for us on the first of February.
While there is no confirmation that this is indeed a teaser for the latest game in the God of War Franchise, there are a number of things that make it pretty darn obvious. First, the woman featured is wearing fairly typical clothing of the "Classical Era" and so therefore fits right in to Ancient Greece. Second, ashes begin to swirl through the air, and we know Ascension will have something to do with Kratos' time in the Underworld, which is a place that usually involves fire and ash. Finally, a single angry eye. Well, if it's angry and a video game, there a good likelihood we're talking about Kratos.
If it is indeed Ascension then that would heavily imply that the woman in the video is Kratos' wife; her death spurring him on to kill the god Ares in the first game.
