I played the whole demo of Spec Ops:The Line, and let me tell you, it was interesting. It is an FPS and You play as a special ops in a squad of three. You start out in Dubai and are looking for some hostage soldiers. You run into a confrontation with the rebels and another squad called the 33rd, which is a battalion that went AWOL. The head of the 33rd is a man from the CIA who has gone and tried to take comtrol of Dubai with just his Battalion.
The game itself isnít so bad. Its very much so a want to be Call of Duty. The game play almost identical to CoD but with an advanced cover system. The guns in the game are pretty much all sniper rifles. I used my pistol the second time I played through it the whole time, and I got a head shot on almost every player. When you get a head shot it puts the game in sort of a slow motion thing. but itís only for like a brief 2 seconds, it almost makes the game feel like its lagging a bit, I was very unimpressed with it.
The Graphics were decent for how quick the game play felt but for a bit in one of the cut-scenes it almost looked like the screen was shaking, but it wasn't supposed to be shaking, It looked like shit for the little bit.
Now the story is actually the best part. It makes it very interesting to watch the players kind of develop, even in the demo. You get a sense of urgency the more the DJ of the radio station talks about the hostages. Itís interesting watching the development of the players, it really makes for a good story line, even if the rest of the game was kinda crap.
